Finding this fabulous large French C19th cast brass church pricket candlestick felt like fate; we were wandering around the most magnificent ancient hillside village with a monastery and nuns peacefully wandering around too and then in a small dusty brocante we found this!  Although we could not confirm whether this antique cast brass candlestick originated from the village monastery itself it is quite possible which would be a wonderful provenance.  
 
The candlestick is a stunning object and will look magnificent lighting up a room thoughout the autumn and winter months.
