These are an interesting find, originating from rural Norfolk they were originally used in fields at harvest time as potato riddle stands. Not needed now due to new and improved farming technology these stands are perfect to add a touch of interest in the garden. The iron forked botton makes them easy to stake into the ground and easy to move around too. Utilise them as plant displays (galvanised pan planters or hanging basket liners sit perfectly in them), plant supports or bird baths.Handmade with iron, all potato riddle stands vary slightly in shape and size which adds to their unique character and style.
