This is a truly fabulous French find.  Very unusal and exceedingly beautiful French bentwood bait box.
 
For it's age it is in a lovely condition and beautifully made.  The leather hinges are delicate but still intact.  There are general signs of wear and tear but nothing that detracts from its outstanding beauty.
 
It's a charming bait bucket with a lot of characters: bentwood handle, leather hinges, and metal clasp.
