Vintage glass carboys were originally used to carry wine often wrapped in a wicket basket. They now make fabulous decorative items.  We couldn't be without ours; it's used to hold decoration-laden hazel branches at Christmas & Easter and various foraged foliage in between. They're often used with fairy lights too or converted into lamps.  
 
This carboy is a beautiful green glass colour with beautiful ripples and imperfections on show, totally as you would expect of a vintage item such as this. It's a fabulous smaller than small size and sits quite comfortably on a dining table, console side table, kitchen counter etc...
