We can't resist buying French vintage wirework egg baskets when we spot them in French antique markets; French vintage wirework baskets are like hens teeth so when we see them we always make a bee line and snapped them up.
 
This lovely vintage egg basket in a nice vintage condition.  The egg basket has lovely little wire feet typical of French vintage wirework egg baskets.  
 
We use these for all sorts - eggs, fruit, vegetables, homemade pinecone pot pourri.......
